Canadian William Sampson was a law-abiding citizen who moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to offer his expertise as a business consultant. Then, in December 2000, he and several of his colleagues were suddenly arrested and charged for a violent terrorist bombing they did not commit. Despite his plea of innocence and no evidence of guilt, Sampson was imprisoned and repeatedly tortured for almost three years until his captors got what they wanted from him: a confession.
